The team previously operated as Saks Middlesbrough until 2025, before the former salon closed and its staff were made redundant. Rather than stepping away from the industry, Kerry Hunter and Andrew Salvin took this moment as an opportunity to rebuild, innovate, and create something of their own.

Demonstrating true entrepreneurial spirit, Kerry and Andrew took over the space and established Hunter & Salvin Hairdressing, transforming challenge into growth. Their leadership, combined with the dedication of the stylists who chose to continue their journey with them, has resulted in a modern, independent salon that reflects their values, expertise, and vision for the future.
