We are over the moon to share that Steam & Bean, the heart and soul of Rede House Business Space, has officially been awarded a 5-star hygiene rating by Middlesbrough Council!

We always knew our team worked tirelessly to keep everything spotless, from the coffee machines to the counters, but there’s something about seeing it formally recognised that makes it all feel real. It’s always slightly nerve-wracking and daunting until the inspector’s stamp of approval is finally in your hands — and when it happened, the relief and joy were overwhelming. I still remember when I got my first 5-star hygiene rating years ago, running a Industry, the coffee shop prior to Steam & Bean — I cried with relief, knowing all our care and hard work had paid off.

This feeling came flooding back when Steam & Bean received its 5-star rating. A huge thank you to Middlesbrough Council for their thorough inspection process and guidance, and of course to our incredible team, whose dedication makes this possible every single day.
