Our Story
Rede House Business Space Logo 2025

Rede House Business Space didn’t begin as the vibrant hub you see today.
Our journey started back in 2016, when co-founder Lisa opened North East Academy — a small training academy built from passion, determination, and a belief that education can transform lives. What began as a single room quickly grew into a supportive community of learners, beauty professionals, and ambitious locals looking for a place to build their future.

Then came the Covid era — a turning point for everyone.

After the world reopened, Lisa made a bold decision to rebuild stronger than before. She renovated the building, creating a hair salon and a warm, welcoming coffee shop designed to bring people back together. What started as a simple addition soon became the beating heart of Rede House.

In April 2025, the coffee shop was purchased by Steam & Bean, who have taken it to new heights. Today, Steam & Bean is truly the heart and soul of Rede House Business Space — a place where clients gather, businesses connect, and ideas come to life over great coffee. Their presence adds energy, community, and a sense of belonging to the entire building.

With the salon thriving and the coffee shop buzzing, the vision grew even bigger. Rede House expanded into a dedicated business and training space, offering flexible rooms for beauty professionals, trainers, entrepreneurs, and creatives. Every part of the building was designed with purpose: to give people a professional, affordable, inspiring environment where they can build something of their own.

At Rede House, our mission is simple:
Support small businesses, invest in Middlesbrough, and help people grow — together.
By offering training spaces, business rooms, and a welcoming community hub, we’re proud to bring more people into the town centre and contribute to its ongoing revival.

From a single training academy in 2016…
to a thriving salon…
to a bustling, community-driven business space…

Rede House stands as a place where futures are built — one idea, one coffee, infinite opportunities.
